Question: What is infrared sauna?

Answer: Far infrared light is the natural radiant heat felt from the sun. Imagine yourself outside on a warm sunny day. That is how it feels to be in an infrared sauna. It is the comforting heat that warms you from the inside. It is the most natural heat source on earth!


Question: How safe is infrared sauna?

Answer: You can be exposed to far infrared heat for hours and it will not cause your skin to burn. Far infrared heat is completely healthy and safe for all living things. In fact, it is so safe it is used in hospitals to warm newborn infants.


Question: What do I have to bring to the spa?

Answer: We provide towels, robes, slippers, body wash and shampoo. You do not need to bring anything!


Question: What does the Finnish body scrub involve?

Answer: First you are led to our state-of-the-art Finnish sauna where you lay down and relax while gentle steam opens up your pores. You are showered down and the body polish is applied to the skin. Next you are rubbed with a special exfoliating glove and finally you are washed down with a warm shower. Then you can stay to enjoy a little more of the steam. You can also opt to take a shower, dry up, then proceed to the massage room for your massage.

Question: What are the benefits of infrared sauna?

Answer: Pain Relief, Detoxification, Increased Circulation, Weight Loss, Lower Blood Pressure and Cholesterol, Cellulite Removal, Stress Reduction, Anti-Depressant (Detox from infrared sauna is 7 to 10 times greater than a conventional sauna because it operates more effectively at temperatures 60 to 80 degrees lower than conventional saunas. In an infrared sauna, the average person sweats out 20% toxins and 80% water! In a conventional sauna the average person sweats out 3% toxins and 97% water.

In combination with raising the core body temperature, these saunas emit far infrared within the vital wave range of 7 to 14 microns, the frequency at which a water molecule resonates or vibrates. This vibration causes a release of cellular toxins such as mercury, aluminum, cholesterol and other toxic gases such as sulfur and formaldehyde. This is crucial for a deeper, detoxifying sweat.
